Layer premix · Pre-lay programme
NES 1 / 1P.
A pre-lay programme designed to support the transition into egg production.

Product overview
The transition begins before the first egg.
Pre-lay is a short but decisive bridge between pullet development and active production.
NES 1 is Greenagro's pre-lay nutritional programme. It supports the transition from pullet development to the onset of lay, when nutrient demands change rapidly. NES 1 is intended for corn-based complete feeds, while NES 1P is adapted for wheat-based complete feeds.
NES 1 / NES 1P is selected within the complete feed and the wider flock programme. Introduction and progression are guided by flock readiness, cereal base, raw-material information and farm observations—not by a fixed date alone.
Changing priorities
Supports the move from final pullet development toward the rapidly changing demands around the onset of lay.
Flock-led timing
Keeps maturity, uniformity, condition and the farm feeding plan at the centre of the transition decision.
Production preparation
Connects the Developer phase with the NES 2 programme for the active laying period.
Two cereal pathways
One phase objective. Two feed bases.
The correct variant is selected according to the cereal structure of the complete feed. This distinction does not replace review of the full ingredient and farm context.
NES 1
The pre-lay option intended for feeding systems in which corn is the principal cereal base.
Pre-lay transition · Corn pathwayNES 1P
The adapted pre-lay option intended for feeding systems in which wheat is the principal cereal base.
Pre-lay transition · Wheat pathwayThe cereal base is an essential starting point, but the final recommendation also considers the complete ingredient profile, flock status and production plan.
Pullet-to-layer sequence
The bridge from rearing to active production.
NES 1 / NES 1P follows Developer and prepares the transition into NES 2 / NES 2P for the active laying period.
Technical selection
The phase is defined. The transition remains flock-specific.
Introduced during the pre-lay period and used according to flock maturity, genetics and the farm's feeding plan.
Request technical guidanceFlock readiness
Genetics, age, body-weight development, uniformity and indicators of physiological maturity.
Cereal base
Whether the complete feed is built principally around corn or wheat, together with the relevant raw-material information.
Current programme
The Developer feeding period, feed intake, flock condition and the planned timing of the transition.
Farm monitoring
Housing, health, management and the flock data used to follow the onset of production.
Exact composition, inclusion, nutrient specifications and feeding directions are established through Greenagro technical consultation using the relevant animal, feed and farm information.
